Taking Down "Dino", 1965

from 315.00

Workers disassemble the trademark Brontosaurus of Sinclair Petroleum’s Dinoland Exhibit at the conclusion of the 1964 World’s Fair. The camera captures an "only in New York" moment with construction cranes and dinosaurs coming together, in a city where fantasy and reality collide everyday. The circular observation towers of the New York State Pavilion can be seen in the distance across the sunken 495 freeway and still stand today in Flushing Meadows, Queens.
